Clinical Nursing

Our dedicated team of Registered Veterinary Nurses, supported by student nurses and experienced ward assistants maintain the highest standards of out-patient and in-patient care for your pet. Within this team we have a variety of specialist nurses with advanced training in medical and surgical nursing, emergency critical care, anaesthesia, exotic animal nursing and feline nursing.

All our nurses work hard to keep their knowledge up to date so your pet can benefit from the latest advances in nursing techniques, as well as the tender loving care we would all expect for our own pets. Every patient is treated as an individual – whether it's gaining the confidence of an anxious dog or picking a suitable diet for a fastidious cat, our nurses will find a way. Comfort and freedom from pain are high on our list of priorities.

Our nurses provide care for your pets as they recover from medical and surgical problems of all types, and they are there to offer support and advice in many specific situations too, such as chemotherapy, diabetes and kidney disease.

Today's professional nurse takes responsibility for many clinical procedures including radiography, blood sampling and laboratory work, monitoring anaesthesia, managing wounds and dressings and much more. In addition, our consulting nurses are available daily to help you with advice on nutrition, parasite control, behaviour, weight management, and dental care.
