Haley Collins
Receptionist - Coggeshall Branch

Nursing Experience: I started working in practice after leaving school in 1998 at Moloneys veterinary surgery. I started my veterinary nurse training towards the end of my time there and moved to the Millennium Veterinary Practice in 2001. I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2004. I have enjoyed nursing in all areas of the practice but have always particularly enjoyed the daily one-to-one contact with our clients and their pets during our nurse clinics. In 2007 I was promoted to Senior Nurse and was responsible for developing the nurse consulting side of the practice. This included helping to develop the practices successful Millennium Package which enables clients to join our preventative health scheme at a reduced cost.  I also enjoyed taking our puppy playskool classes with our skool team! I returned to work in 2010 after having my son George and now work part-time. Initially I  worked in all areas of the practice, but also commit a lot of my time to our nurse consults.  I have changed roles again and work part time as part of our reception team.

Interests: I find the client contact very rewarding. As having 2 dogs of my own I am able to give practical advice to new dog owners. One of my other roles within the practice is going out to visit our local pre-schools/ schools, to talk to the children about basic animal care and to introduce them to a few of the animals we may see at the practice, one of them being my own German Shepherd Dog "Meadow" and Labra-doodle "AJ".

Activities: Outside of work my husband and I are kept busy by our young son George and our 2 dogs. We enjoy many family holidays in our caravan. In my spare time I enjoy taking the dogs to obedience training, and have managed to qualify for crufts in the past.   Cycling is also a focus for us as a family.
