Veterinary Experience: I started nursing in 1997 after a spell of work experience at the practice while studying for my BTec National Diploma in Animal Care.   I went straight into vet nurse training after starting here and qualified in 1999, after attending Writtle College and completing a structured work-based nursing programme at the practice for 2 years.

Interests:  I have enjoyed all areas of nursing in our practice but always had a special interest in diagnostic imaging.   I was promoted to Deputy Head Nurse in 2000, a role which I held for 7 years.   During this time I supported many of the student vet nurses with their training as well as managing the nursing staff on a daily basis.   Since 2008 I have been working part-time in an administrative role.

Activities:   Any free time I have is spent with my family.   My husband and I have two lovely boys, Jayden and Kai.   We share our home with 'Mini' a wirehaired Jack Russel Terrier and 'Deano' a cross-bred with quite a bit of staffy and whippet in him!    Both, I have to admit like most of my colleagues, were also rescued from work!
