Registered Veterinary Nurse
Veterinary Nursing Experience: I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in September 2014. I trained at Forest Veterinary Centre in Epping where I helped with a range of procedures including orthopaedic patients. Before starting my training I studied a Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management at Writtle College while working part time at Pets at Home. Once I finished this course I got a full time job working for the RSPCA but still continued with my part time job.

Interests: I especially like working within the theatres, scrubbing in to assist the vets and also enjoy spending time on the wards where we can give the patients the one to one care they deserve. After all who doesn’t love lots of TLC!

Activities: Outside of work I love spending my spare time with my friends and family but love nothing more than coming home after a busy day and getting greeted by my pets! I have a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel called Eddie, who loves nothing more than a big cuddle and a ride in the car and an 11 year old long-haired tortoiseshell cat called Sherry that we rescued when she was about 2 years old. She lives up to her breed characteristics and all affection is done on her terms! I like keeping myself fit by running and going to the gym as much as I can so that I can take part in events to raise money for charity. In 2014 I ran in the Cancer Research Pretty Muddy Race for Life and the Conistone Adventure Team Challenge in Cumbria, which was a mini triathlon to raise money for Guide Dogs, (formerly Guide Dogs for the Blind).
