Registered Veterinary Nurse
Nursing Experience: I began my Veterinary Nursing training in 2001 at Goddards Veterinary Hospital, a very busy first opinion and referral hospital in Wanstead, London. I had the opportunity to deal with a large range of cases, including orthopaedics, emergency and critical care, and exotics, and it was an excellent training experience.
During my time there I studied for my VN qualification at The Royal Veterinary College and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005. I then moved to another first opinion clinic, Canonbury Veterinary Practice in North London, where I developed my client care and nursing clinic skills. I stayed there until 2011, before becoming a locum and then taking a career break to raise my two children.
In early 2016 I joined the Millennium Veterinary Practice team, and am very happy to be nursing again, and am proud to be part of such a friendly and high quality practice.

Interests: I have a keen interest in nursing clinics, particularly the dietary aspect. I enjoy getting to know both the patients and their owners and building a bond with them. I also enjoy working in the wards, particularly nursing intensive care patients. It's an area I find very rewarding and where high quality nursing can make such a difference in a patient's recovery.

Activities: Outside of nursing, most of my time is spent with my two young children, but when I have a quiet half hour I enjoy reading, watching films, or doing a spot of yoga or swimming. In the future I would like to work towards achieving a certificate in critical care nursing or nutrition.
