Lindsey Nice
BVetMed Cert SAS MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon, Head of Surgery and Director
RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Orthopaedics
Veterinary Experience: I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2005, after 9 months in
mixed practice, I joined MVP. In 2011, I gained the RCVS Certificate in
Small Animal Surgery. I am very fortunate to be able indulge by love of
surgery at MVP. I perform a wide range of operations from routine
neutering procedures, complex orthopaedic (bone and joint) and soft
tissue reconstructive surgeries. I am lucky to have the privilege to
care for so many animals, ultimately treating their disease, injury or
illness so that when they have recovered, they can continue to live
their lives as normally as possible. I was given the position of the
practice’s Head of Surgery in 2014, to ensure we always strive to
deliver the best possible surgical standard. I became a director in
2015. In 2016 I was been approved as a Royal College of Veterinary
Surgeons Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Orthopaedic Surgery.
Interests: I am a vet because I am a true animal lover. I have been told, on
occasion that, I talk more to the animals then people! Currently, I have
2 naughty bengal cats ‘Taxi’ and ‘Ted’ whom rule our house and I think,
half the neighbourhood. I also have 2 of the most wonderful dogs (I am
obviously not biased at all). A border collie named ‘Cat’, my baby, who
loves her tennis ball and to come running with me. I also rescued a
seriously injured Saluki named ‘Mouse’ aka 'The Queen’ (Princess status
just would not suffice) in 2009, she is adorable and now fully
recovered from both her cruciate ligament (knee) surgery and skin wound
reconstruction (ironic how she found me!), indulges herself with
affection from everyone she meets.
Activities: There is nothing I enjoy more than to entertain friends and family
with my love of cooking. I have been very fortunate with my partner to
have travelled to many beautiful countries around the world. I love to
explore new places and meet new people, plus I always manage to find a
street dog somewhere that needs a little veterinary attention. I keep
fit by swimming and running with my greatest personal achievement being
completing the London Marathon in 2014.
