Veterinary ReceptionistWe are looking to recruit a part-time receptionist. You will be expected to be a team player, with a customer service background. Previous experience of working in a veterinary environment is preferred but not essential. You will be guided by our Head Receptionists Kelly and Lorraine and our Senior Receptionist, Emma; alongside the rest of the reception team - many who have been here for years and have exceptional experience to support you.
The required part-time hours will include Saturday working, veterinary care isn't 9-5!
We have 55 members of staff and are a very friendly group. We support all our members of staff from day one and know with the right training and settling in you will feel at home with us all, our clients and their pets. Working in the veterinary world is a very rewarding job and no two days are different.
We encourage all our receptionists to engage in continuing professional development and follow any specific areas of interest. Through personal development we now have a Bereavement Support Advisor; Practice Environmental Advocate and a number of receptionists with or working towards the Accredited Veterinary Receptionist Award.

Ward AssistantA position has become available for a motivated, hard working, caring person to join our ward assistant team in our busy practice. Successful candidates would be expected to work closely with our Registered Veterinary Nursing Team in providing a high standard of veterinary care. Full training and support will be given to integrate you into our team and assist us in our wards, consulting rooms, equipment sterilisation, hospital laundry and other areas of the practice. Careful animal handling and tender loving care plays an important part of this role.
Working as part of a team is vital. Our ward assistants usually work on a rotating weekly 3-shift rota and cover each others holiday and sick days. Weekday shifts generally include the timings below. Weekend work is also forms part of the rota. Our ward assistants are entitled to 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata.
7am - 3pm
8am - 4pm
10am - 8pm
We pride ourselves on being a friendly, approachable and very caring team and are eager to find the right candidate .
No previous experience of this work is required, though previous roles in related areas of animal care will help with your integration into this role.
