Robin Creighton MRCVS

BVetMed MRCVS
Director and Veterinary Surgeon

Experience
I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1996 and after a spell of locuming in small animal practice I moved to Yorkshire and joined a busy mixed practice. I started working at Bayer, Garrett and Freeman in 1998 at our old site on Coggeshall Road in Braintree and became one of the practice partners in 2003.

Interests
I enjoy all aspects of the first opinion side of the practice and particularly like the challenges that veterinary medicine brings.  I also have a keen interest in poultry medicine. I was made Honorary Veterinary Surgeon to the Poultry Club of Great Britain in 2011 and am proud to be one of the UK's most successful poultry breeders having won a record 7 Supreme / Reserve Supreme Show Champions at the Crufts of the poultry world, beating over 6,000 birds on each occasion.  My birds have appeared in books and magazines on more than 200 occasions, including publications in North America, Europe and Australia.  Including being photographed by Lord Snowdon for the Sunday Times and being featured in Country Life Magazine. I have written articles on poultry breeding and have contributed to books and provide advice for breeders as far afield as Australia.

Activities
Spending time with my family is important and when I am not doing any of the above I can be found out in the field with my Dexter cattle, Textile Sheep and sparky Jack Russel Terrier!
