🚨 Important Update – Pet Travel to Europe 🐾✈️

From 22nd April 2026, there are changes to pet travel rules that UK pet owners need to be aware of. EU Pet Passports are no longer valid if your main residence is the UK. Even if your pet passport was issued in the EU or Northern Ireland, it cannot be used for travel if you live in the UK.

🐢 What do you need instead?

You will now need an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) for each trip:

βœ” Issued by a vet within 10 days of travel
βœ” Valid for one trip only
βœ” Required for travel into the EU

⚠️ Don’t get caught out

If you travel with an invalid passport, you could face:
❌ Refusal of entry
❌ Delays at the border
❌ Possible quarantine

πŸ₯ What should you do?

If you’re planning to travel with your pet this year:

πŸ“ž Contact us in advance
πŸ“… Allow time for rabies vaccinations if needed
πŸ“„ Book your AHC appointment in plenty of time
