We’re Proud to Have Passed Our RCVS Practice Standards Inspection

We are delighted to share that Millennium Veterinary Practice has successfully passed our latest RCVS Practice Standards inspection.

This is an important milestone for us and a reassuring one for our clients.

What is the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme?

The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Practice Standards Scheme is the voluntary accreditation scheme for veterinary practices across the UK. Practices are assessed against nationally recognised standards covering:

  • Clinical care and patient safety
  • Facilities and equipment
  • Infection control and cleanliness
  • Medicines management
  • Team training, governance, and continuous improvement
  • Client communication and record-keeping

Inspections are thorough and independent, ensuring practices meet (and continue to meet) high professional standards.

What This Means for Our Clients

Passing our inspection as a General Practice confirms that:

  • Your pet receives care that meets nationally recognised standards
  • Our facilities, equipment, and procedures are regularly reviewed and audited
  • Our team is properly trained, supported, and working within clear clinical protocols
  • We are committed to safety, transparency, and continual improvement

For prospective clients, it offers reassurance that when you register with us, you are choosing a practice that is independently inspected and accountable for the care it provides.

A Huge Thank You to Our Team

This achievement reflects the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork of our entire practice team. From clinical care to behind-the-scenes processes, every member of staff plays a vital role in maintaining the standards our clients and patients deserve.

We are incredibly proud of the team for their hard work, attention to detail, and commitment to doing things properly.

Looking Ahead to 60 Years as an Independent Practice

As we move into 2026, we are especially proud to be celebrating 60 years of serving our local community as an independent veterinary practice. Remaining independent allows us to focus on what matters most: clinical judgement, continuity of care, and treating every pet as if they were our own.

Thank you to our clients for your continued trust and support — and to our team for helping us uphold the standards that have defined our practice for six decades.
