Your cat's quality of life
Supporting you your cats quality of life
Understanding and assessing your cats quality of life is one of the most important and difficult aspects of caring for them, especially as they age or live with chronic health conditions. Quality of life isn't just about physical health it is also about their emotional wellbeing, including enjoyment of daily activates, comfort in themselves and appetite.
Many cats hide their discomfort, therefore small changes in their behaviour that you notice can be significant and worth checking in with one of our vets or registered veterinary nurses.
Here at Millennium Vets we are always here to help you recognise these changes and support you making informed decisions about your cat's health.
If you are unsure if your cat behaviour or demeanour has changed and is affecting their quality of life please do book in to see one of vets as we are happy to talk to you about any and all concerns you may have and this can sometimes mean we can spot some health conditions early and help them back to being their normal self.
In these consultations the vet will work with you and discuss your concerns and observations from home and do a comprehensive general health check on your cat and work with you to form a plan for further treatment such as blood tests, pain relief or homeopathic treatments such as physiotherapy. The vet will also help you make an informed decision about euthanasia when the time comes.
We recommend booking in a consultation sooner rather than later if you have any concerns with your cats health and wellbeing.
