🥕 Guinea Pig Awareness Week 2025 🥕
We’re excited to celebrate the 4th Annual Guinea Pig Awareness Week (GPAW), starting Monday 20th October!
This year’s theme — Comfort, Care & Companionship — highlights the importance of providing guinea pigs with everything they need to live happy, healthy lives. GPAW aims to raise awareness of the five key welfare needs:
- Diet – providing the right balance of hay, vegetables, and pellets
- Environment – plenty of space, shelter, and safe hiding areas
- Health – regular checks and grooming
- Behaviour – allowing natural behaviours such as foraging and exploring
- Companionship – guinea pigs are social animals and thrive in pairs or small groups
The campaign also shines a spotlight on the importance of adoption and rehoming, helping ensure that every guinea pig finds a loving home.

To mark the occasion, our nursing team is offering FREE Guinea Pig Health Checks, including nail clipping, from 20th October to 22nd November.
