Katie Gates RVN
Pet Health Councillor, RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Experience
Katie is currently on maternity leave and will return to us soon.
I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2004 after training here at the Millennium Veterinary practice. I am the senior consulting nurse, so I spend a lot of my time consulting and love the one to one contact with patients & clients that this brings. I am also a qualified pet health counsellor, which means I have a wide knowledge of subjects including nutrition, obesity & mobility. My nurse consults range widely and include claw clipping, flea & worm checks, obesity clinics, mobility clinics, older pet and puppy clinics and many more. I consider myself very lucky to be able to do a job that I love. Every day is different at MVP, but always very rewarding!

Interests
I have a keen interest in nutrition and weight loss in pets, I like the satisfaction of helping clients make the most of their much loved pets. I also like supporting clients through the trials and tribulations of owning a new puppy, and helping them to get started with training and behavioural advice. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a lively puppy develop into a much loved settled family member.
Activities
I very much enjoy down time with my family & two dogs Dolly & Minnie.
