Liz Read
Veterinary Receptionist
Experience
I joined the Millennium Veterinary Practice in January 2014. After leaving school I worked for a high street bank then had a career break to have my two children. I returned to work after a few years and went to work for a large international banking corporation. When my children had flown the nest I had a career change and became a ground supervisor for a busy airline at Stanstead Airport. I moved to Heathrow to work for South African Airways for a few years. After this I worked in reception and the registrations department for the Kennel Club which was very interesting especially naming litters of puppies! I have been a client at this practice for many years and was delighted to be offered a job as a receptionist here in January 2014.

I love interacting with our client and their pets, helping them to feel individual and special, offering kindness and help to offset any worries. I am proud to be part of such as caring, friendly great team.
Activities
I have no pets at the moment since losing our Labrador, we will wait now until we retire. In my spare time I enjoy walking, spending time with my grandchildren, holidays, good food, swimming and reading!
